JAMIE FRANCIS - HEAD COACH
"I am very excited and eager to start my second year as Ladies Head Coach at Eastbourne Hockey Club. After a very successful season last year I am looking to establish common themes within each of the ladies sides throughout the club.
Working alongside participation coach Jane Parkinson, I would like to set out similar formations and principles throughout the teams to help with transitioning up and down each of the sides. The main principles being enjoyment and fun whilst playing hockey.
Training for juniors will run from 6:00-7:30PM on a Tuesday evening, run by Elizabeth Bigsby. Followed by participation sessions runs by Jane Parkinson from 7:00-8:00PM also on a Tuesday evening.
Wednesday from 7:30PM will be for Women’s performance training run by myself.

JANE PARKINSON - PARTICIPATION COACH
"Hi, I am Parky. I have loved hockey ever since my school days. My experience includes playing South of England at U18 level and then I represented Chelsea school of Human Movement (Brighton University) and captained too. I then played for Slough Ladies 1st X1 playing National League, we won the league several times and we won silver and bronze medals in European competitions. I then played for Wimbledon Ladies 1st X1 again at National League level and was captain. I then played for Eastbourne Ladies 1st X1.
I was captain of the South of England 045 and 050 Masters team and I was honoured to be selected to represent England Masters at 045 and 050 level. We won the home countries competition several times and silver medals at two European championships.
I have coached hockey throughout my teaching career and the highlight was getting my school team to the National finals.
I have coached at Eastbourne on and off for the last 30 years, and I really enjoyed being back again last year. I am excited about the season ahead and encouraging the youngsters, new members and the 2nd & 3rd Team."
LIZZIE BIGSBY - JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT COACH
"Having gained my coaching degree back in 2019, I’ve enjoyed being apart of EBHC for many years. Having helped with the coaching of school years 3-6 back with Linda McNeil it encouraged me to want to pass on knowledge to other players. It's also helped with my coaching at Brighton College. It’s was a pleasure to begin coaching the junior girls last year and I can’t wait for the coming seasons.
